China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has clinched 28 ship orders worth $1.2bn so far in 2018, lifting its total orderbook to $4.1bn.
The company said the backlog of 114 vessels will keep it "optimally utilised" up to 2020 and provide a stable revenue stream for at least two and a half years.
Net earnings in the third quarter were CNY 778.62m ($112.6m), against CNY 865.99m in 2017.
It was hit by higher costs despite revenue increasing 23% to CNY 5.4bn as it delivered six ships.
Yangzijiang is now ranked first in terms of Chinese yards, and fourth in the world.
