Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc) has unveiled plans to bring together three shipping and marine services companies into one operator of some 165 vessels.

The state-owned company said on Twitter that the move will combine shipowner Abu Dhabi National Tanker Co (Adnatco) with offshore vessel operator Petroleum Services Co (Esnaad) and Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Co (Irshad).

Adnoc said the new shipping and marine services firm will "capture synergies, drive efficiencies and ensure value creation".

Esnaad operates a fleet of offshore vessels from its Mussafah Offshore Supply Base. Its website boasts a fleet of 52 owned and managed offshore support and supply vessels.

Irshad is focused on operations of Abu Dhabi's oil ports, but it also runs fast ferries.

It has 52 vessels across its port services and passenger vessel fleet.
