Bangladesh's Western Marine Shipyard has booked orders for tankers and an offshore support vessel (OSV) from the UAE.
The Chattogram-based yard's managing director Sakhawat Hossain told the Financial Express that the deal is worth BDT 860m ($10.25m).
"We are building two ocean-going tankers and one OSV for UAE," he added.
They are due for delivery in the next one to two years, he said.
The yard is also building 26 vessels for domestic companies and continues to construct six 8,000-dwt general cargoships for India's Jindal Steel.
