Turkey’s U.N. Ro-Ro has appointed a new chief executive to head its operations.
After five years as the company’s boss, Sedat Gumusoglu is passing on the baton to Selcuk Boztepe, U.N. said in an announcement today.
Following his departure, Gumusoglu will continue to serve as an advisor to the company’s board of directors.
Boztepe’s background includes almost 20 years of experience with DHL.
Isletmeleri’s new boss initiated the international land route shipping services of DHL in Turkey in 2004.
According to Clarksons, the Istanbul-based company controls a fleet of 11 ro-ros built between 2001 and 2010, and has agreed this month to buy the five-ship ro-ro fleet of compatriot Ulusoy.
