Royal Caribbean International has made its debut in the same record book that keeps track of such feats as the world’s largest afro and the biggest pumpkin pie.

The North Star attraction on the cruiseship owner’s Quantum-class ships has been certified by Guinness World Records as being the world’s highest viewing deck on a cruiseship.

The North Star is a glass observation capsule that is lifted more than 91 metres into the air and over the side of the ship, providing a unique vantage point to see such sites as the Statue of Liberty, Milford Sound, the Sydney Opera House and the Hong Kong skyline.

But Royal Caribbean is not the first cruise line to make it into the Guinness World Records.

Here are some other industry records recorded by the Guinness officials:

Costa Crociere served up the largest glass of spritzer ever with a 1,000-litre cocktail on the 3,800-berth Costa Favolosa (built 2011).

Viking River Cruises sets the record for the most ships inaugurated in one day, when it celebrated the delivery of 14 newbuildings in Avignon, France; Rostock, Germany; and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

MSC Cruises’ 3,270-berth MSC Splendida (built 2009) was the site of the fastest mile for a marching band when the British Imperial Marching Band completed the feat in 14 minutes and 26 seconds in 2015.
