A Dutch multipurpose ship that grounded off Scotland been successfully refloated, the UK’s Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) said.
The 3,250-dwt Priscilla (built 2009) was towed and safely anchored within Scapa Flow, a sheltered area within Orkney Islands.
MCA surveyors are onboard assessing the vessel and a dive inspection is still ongoing, the agency said.
The Wagenborg Shipping-owned vessel had grounded in Scottish waters with six crew members onboard, who remained safe.
A ballast tank had ruptured aboard the ship, Wagenborg had earlier told TradeWinds, and no pollution had been reported.
The cause for the 17 July grounding was under investigation, Wagenborg's director of sales and purchase, Jacko Boorsma, said at the time.
Salvors Ardent and Multraship had joined Wagenborg to remove 270 tonnes of cargo and 28 tonnes of marine gas oil from the vessel.
